Job summary

Freemont Yardley Search is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Technician to lead hands-on maintenance, start-ups, and training for plant facilities and equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and develop preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety, OSHA/environmental compliance, and continuous improvement, with collaboration across plant teams and vendors to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Associates or Technical Degree in Industrial Management, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician.
• Experience with maintenance planning and control in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical instrumentation and controls, mechanical repair, welding, plumbing, pneumatics, HVAC, conveyors, gear boxes, and fabrication experience.
• Strong communication, both written and spoken.
• Computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, JD Edwards, and COGZ a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and directs plant HS&E policies and programs in corporation with Corporate Plant Manager
• Completes hands-on maintenance and repairs of equipment to ensure safe and effectiveness of equipment operations
• Facilitates vendor maintenance communications and scheduling
• Created preventative maintenance schedules to ensure limited down time
• Develops operating instructions and programs to ensure proper training on operating procedures, and safety
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives
• Adheres to ISO and/or QMMS requirements

Job description

The Maintenance Technician will provide leadership and hands-on experience to support equipment installations, start-ups and maintenance for plant facilities and equipment. As the Maintenance Technician you will troubleshoot and repair equipment and provide training and development for personnel. The Maintenance Technician will lead preventative maintenance standards and programs to ensure efficiency.
