Job summary

Cross Company is seeking an Integration Technician in Whitsett, NC to implement and troubleshoot automation systems across multiple projects and service calls. You’ll read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, work with in-house methods and vendor hardware/software, and support sales to align project requirements.

Required: two-year technical degree or equivalent, strong electrical/mechanical background, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical background preferred.
• Plant process control/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience writing technical documents.
• Fluent mathematical skills and problem solving.
• Fluent PC/computer skills including Internet based tools, Google Suite, MS Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to implement technical solutions tailored to a specific project.
• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• The Integration Technician position is comprised of implementation and troubleshooting of automation systems for multiple projects and service calls.
• Ability to handle implementation of plant automation using in-house integration methods and vendor hardware/software.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic components.
• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings.
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
• Basic use of hand tools for electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
• Basic use of hand tools for assembly of mechanical components.
• Interacts with customers to meet project/service needs.
• Interacts with sales staff to ensure project requirements understood.
• Work as a functioning team member.
• Completes paperwork for projects and service calls.
• Enters time weekly.
