Job summary
Ethos seeks an Electrical Automation Mechanic to lead the maintenance and enhancement of the facility's electrical control systems in North Carolina. You will drive automation solutions from setup and programming to ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting, collaborating with IT and engineering teams to keep systems reliable and productive.
Key tasks include decoding schematics, resolving PLC/touchscreen issues, and mentoring technicians.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation is required.
- Programming experience is required.
- RS Logix 5000 experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals in English.
- Ability to write routine reports and documentation in English.
- Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must effectively communicate with management, vendors, and production teams.
Responsibilities
- Decode complex electrical schematics and user manuals to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Troubleshoot automation and robotics software to optimize processes.
- Resolve PLC and touchscreen issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist with network troubleshooting and control networking issues.
- Collaborate with IT to maintain servers and ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and drive automation improvements to improve speed, efficiency, and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to maintenance technicians.
- Create user manuals and training materials for the team.
- Mentor maintenance technicians to develop their skills.
