Qualifications

• Four years journeyman-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, and pipe threaders.
• Attach pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation or repair per specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and materials per specifications.
• Maintain and modify pipe systems and related components.
• Install automatic controls for pipe systems.
• Turn valves to shut off utilities as needed.
• Inspect sites for obstructions and structural integrity.
• Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
