Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of peer support or related behavioral health experience.
• Personal lived experience with mental health challenges or recovery.
• Understanding of trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, recovery-oriented peer support to individuals experiencing mental health and co-occurring substance use challenges.
• Draw upon personal lived experience to build trust, foster hope, and encourage recovery.
• Support individuals in identifying strengths and recovery goals.
• Encourage engagement in treatment programs and supportive services.
• Facilitate non-clinical conversations and peer-based activities.
• Collaborate with clinical team to support person-centered care while maintaining boundaries.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards.
