Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Associate Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients at Covenant - St Joseph Healthcare in Bangor, ME. This on-site PRN role requires greeting patients, collecting demographics, and ensuring smooth registration with a focus on accuracy and compassionate service.

You will verify insurance, explain consents, and assist with POS collections while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to improve processes.
• CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire (company paid).

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and perform medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Handle pre-registration of patient accounts and collect demographic/insurance data.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and manage inter-office calls.
• Review eligibility responses and support POS and billing processes to improve clean claim rate.
