Job summary

Moxtek in Orem, Utah is seeking a Post Fab & Assemblies Process Engineer - Optics to support optics manufacturing, design, build, test, order fulfillment and process improvements for optical components and hardware assemblies. You will create custom assemblies for specific customers, including drawings, glass cutting, inspection, and optical measurements.

As the lead engineering resource for these customers, you will work with Sales and product management to develop new assemblies, maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• At least three years in the manufacturing industry; semiconductor experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude for hardware assembly.
• Knowledge of optics is a plus (polarization, spectrometry, wavefront distortion).

Responsibilities

• Support Post Fab production with day-to-day manufacturing, troubleshooting and sustaining activities.
• Track critical orders through all operations.
• Work with Sales and product management to design, develop, and optimize new assemblies for key customers.
• Write and maintain Post Fab operating procedures and related documents.
• Perform failure analysis on returned material and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and test new assemblies and packaging options.
