Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred.
• Sufficient experience may be substituted for education.
• Must possess great attention to detail.
• Data entry skills with accuracy and efficiency required.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to interact with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visits according to approved policies and procedures.
• Performs pre-exam testing including auto refract, OCT, A-scan, IOP, and visual field testing.
• Notifies patients of lab and test results.
• Assists physicians with procedures as requested and performs tests as ordered.
• Maintains clean exam rooms, equipment, and medical records documentation.
