Job summary

DESC is seeking an Operations Coordinator to oversee renovations and construction improvements at The Morrison Hotel, DESC's largest PSH site with 190 units. The role requires in-person work from 8 am to 4 pm, coordinating with property management, contractors, and care teams to ensure safe, timely completion of projects.

You will prepare progress summaries, manage access, and maintain documentation while engaging with clients and staff to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• 2-3 years of maintenance/property management or similar work in large residential buildings.
• 1 year of janitorial/maintenance experience or operations in PSH (Permanent Support)

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination and walkthrough of vendors and contractors for renovation projects.
• Coordinate with Housing Staff to notify clients and obtain entry permissions for scheduled work.
• Safeguard building and unit access, and ensure safety during repairs.
• Prepare daily/weekly summaries of construction activities and report to project manager.
• Lead communication of timelines to Housing team and participate in daily briefs and meetings.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with first responders as needed.
