Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) seeks an Engineering Technician to support the scoping, creation, submission, and implementation of engineering design documents for nuclear systems. The role involves CAD drawings, technical specifications, and test documentation in a highly regulated environment.

You will participate in JHA safety analyses, assist with equipment maintenance, and collaborate with Facility Managers to plan outages. On-site in Knoxville, with potential travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science in Engineering technology or similar; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Active DOE “Q” level clearances are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D testing of custom industrial equipment and document activity sequences on test logs.
• Monitor equipment instrumentation and collect data from tests.
• Lead or participate in safety analyses and inspections for high-temperature/high-pressure systems.
• Assist in component purchases and calibration routines.
• Review engineering drawings, specs, and datasheets; contribute to design document reviews.
