Job summary

Orano USA, based in Aiken, SC, is seeking a Nuclear Plant Maintenance Specialist to maintain and service site equipment and field systems. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and adherence to nuclear standards across pond-to-pad campaigns and routine maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate will have welding and NDE experience, plus familiarity with pool-to-pad projects at nuclear facilities and a solid maintenance background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or directly related equivalent experience plus 5 years in mechanical/electrical work or inspection/testing.
• Experience with welding, NDE, and pool-to-pad projects at nuclear facilities.
• Strong maintenance background and ability to interpret inspection results.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, maintains, repairs, and rebuilds mechanical and electrical equipment on site and in the field.
• Inspects, maintains, repairs equipment and structures at Aiken Facility.
• Schedules and oversees maintenance, service and inspection of company vehicles.
• Plans work schedules for pre-job, refurbishment and post-job activities for Field Services.
• Establishes welding guidelines and procedures for new equipment and products.
• Develops and maintains inspection, testing, and maintenance programs.
• Supports nondestructive examination (NDE) and QC inspections.
• Trains employees, subcontractors, and customers on field services tasks for nuclear sites.
