MorningStar Mission Ministries Inc. in Joliet, IL seeks a Food Services Manager to oversee all food service operations, procurement, preparation, and serving. You will lead staff, guests, and volunteers, ensuring safety, quality, and compassionate service in a faith-based setting.

The role partners with the Director of Facilities, requires strong leadership, recipe execution, and dietary coordination, while complying with health codes. It is a full-time, on-site position with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate Christian faith and compassion.
• Knowledge of food safety and ServSafe.
• CFPM certification required or to be obtained within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all food service operations including procurement, inventory, meal prep, serving, and warehousing.
• Plan nutritious meals that support guests’ recovery while maximizing resources.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois Food Code and health regulations; maintain training records.
• Coordinate food donations and distribution with partners and volunteers.
• Model Christ-like conduct and foster compassionate service in teams.
