Morning Star Mission Ministries Inc in Joliet, IL, is hiring a Facilities Associate to maintain and repair properties, equipment, and systems on-site. You will work with the Director of Facilities to ensure safety, compliance, and functional operation.

This full-time role involves carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and coordinating with staff, volunteers, residents, and contractors to meet maintenance needs effectively.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated care for individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction.
• General building maintenance knowledge and equipment operation.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift 50 lbs, and use common tools safely.
• Reliable team player with communication and instructional skills.
• Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to operate a box truck.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Complete work orders and emergency maintenance requests promptly.
• Ensure facility safety and OSHA-compliant standards through inspections.
• Coordinate with staff, volunteers, residents, and contractors on projects.
• Maintain updates and reports on projects and completed work.
