Job summary

CDN Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Night & Weekend Dispatcher in Northlake, IL to oversee off-shift driver support, monitor active shipments, and resolve issues that affect service quality.

You will be the face and voice for drivers during nights and weekends, ensuring timely, calm communication and timely problem resolution. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in transportation or logistics roles, good knowledge of DOT rules, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of transportation, logistics, dispatch, driver support, or related customer-service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of truckload or over-the-road transportation operations strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong judgment and the ability to make timely decisions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for over-the-road drivers during assigned night and weekend hours.
• Respond promptly to calls involving load questions, fuel-card concerns, routing issues, road closures, severe weather, and other operational challenges.
• Provide drivers with clear, professional guidance while maintaining a calm, supportive presence.
• Coordinate after-hours maintenance and roadside assistance when equipment problems occur.
