Job summary

Predicine is seeking a Research Associate in Hayward, CA to support routine lab operations and NGS-based cancer genomics workflows. The role involves sample processing, assay development support, inventory management, and instrument maintenance on-site in Hayward.

The candidate will handle pre-analytical procedures, library prep, and data entry while contributing to SOPs and lab documentation. A strong molecular biology background and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years, or Master’s degree with 2+ years, in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in molecular biology or biochemistry, with solid laboratory techniques and documentation practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory procedures including pre-analytical sample preparation and nucleic acid extraction.
• Execute daily NGS workflows, including library preparation and target enrichment on Illumina platforms.
• Support scientists in assay development activities and data processing.
• Assist with sample accessioning, tracking, and storage.
• Operate and maintain critical laboratory instrumentation (thermocyclers, Bioanalyzer, Qubit, sequencers).
