Job summary

Personalis, Inc. in Fremont, CA seeks a hands-on scientist to collaborate with a multidisciplinary R&D team on cutting-edge oncology solutions.

You will perform real-world sample testing and library preparation for Next-Generation Sequencing, helping develop precision medicine products for pharma, biotech, and clinical partners. Required BS/MS in molecular biology or related field and 3+ years lab experience; cfDNA/cfRNA or FFPE experience is valued.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biochemistry, or a related biological science.
3+ years of hands-on molecular biology laboratory experience (biotech/pharma preferred).
Proficiency in DNA/RNA extraction, QC, and NGS library preparation.
Experience with liquid biopsy (cfDNA/cfRNA) or FFPE samples preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

Support R&D scientists in developing, optimizing, and validating oncology assays and workflows.
Extract DNA/RNA from samples and construct high-quality libraries for NGS.
Process sample cohorts for validation studies and external collaborations.
Evaluate and refine protocols; provide feedback to SOPs.
Maintain meticulous sample tracking and present findings in meetings.
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.
