Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Network Engineer to support a defense program in Colorado Springs, CO. You will implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise networks across LAN/WAN, ensuring secure, reliable communications for national defense objectives.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, Cisco/Juniper expertise, and relevant firewall platforms, with an Active Secret clearance and CCNA/JNCIA/IAT II certifications. On-site travel to remote locations may be required.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in production environments.
Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching technologies.
Experience with firewalls including Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto platforms.
Active Secret security clearance; IAT Level II certification; CCNA or JNCIA.

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls in multi-vendor environments.
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues.
Implement and support VLANs, OSPF, BGP, GRE tunnels, UDP multicast, WAN optimization, and TCP/IP architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades and installations.
Travel to remote sites to perform installations and lead troubleshooting tasks.
