Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Network Engineer in Colorado Springs to support a defense program focused on command and control, battle management, communications, and ballistic missile defense operations. The role is ON-SITE near Colorado Springs, CO and involves implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure across complex LAN/WAN environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, network operations, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching technologies.
• Experience with firewalls including Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto platforms.
• IAT Level II Certification and CCNA or JNCIA.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls in multi-vendor environments.
• Monitor network performance, identify connectivity issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve incidents.
• Implement and support networking technologies including VLANs, OSPF, BGP, GRE tunnels, UDP multicast, WAN optimization, and TCP/IP networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network upgrades, installations, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Travel to remote sites to perform network installations, lead troubleshooting, and provide status updates to program stakeholders.
