Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support enterprise network infrastructure, secure communications, and defense-focused environments. This on-site role is in Colorado Springs, CO, involving implementation, maintenance, and optimization of complex networks across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with Cisco/Juniper, Fortinet/Palo Alto, and strong TCP/IP knowledge, plus IAT II and CCNA/JNCIA credentials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of network engineering or enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on with Cisco and Juniper routing/switching.
• Experience with Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls.
• WAN optimization, TACLANE, optical transport in multi-vendor environments.
• IAT Level II 8570-compliant cert and CCNA/JNCIA are required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, WAN devices and optical transport.
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues.
• Implement BGP, OSPF, VLANs, GRE, UDP multicast, TCP/IP networking.
• Document troubleshooting efforts and network changes; produce presentations.
• Travel to remote locations for installations and maintenance.
