Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a mission-critical defense program focused on command and control, battle management, communications, and ballistic missile defense operations. This ON-SITE role is based in Colorado Springs, CO, and the Network Engineer will implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across complex LAN/WAN environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in production environments.
• Hands-on Cisco and Juniper routing and switching experience.
• Experience with Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• IAT Level II certification and CCNA or JNCIA.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls in multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto).
• Monitor network performance, identify connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve incidents.
• Implement and support networking technologies including VLANs, OSPF, BGP, GRE tunnels, UDP multicast, WAN optimization, and TCP/IP network architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network upgrades, installations, infrastructure enhancements, and operational projects.
• Travel to remote sites to perform network installations, lead troubleshooting efforts, and provide status updates to program stakeholders, including support during evenings and weekends when required.

Compensation for the Network Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law
