Bright Light Medical Imaging in Arlington Heights is seeking an MRI Imaging Assistant to support the radiology team, assist with patient prep, equipment setup, and clinical tasks while delivering compassionate care. The role focuses on patient experience, safety, and efficient MRI workflow, with hours Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and on-site location.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in IV access placement.
• Experience in healthcare or medical setting (1+ year).
• Strong computer and time management skills.
• Excellent patient care and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists with patient preparation and positioning.
• Assist in coil positioning, MRI safety screening, patient observation, and procedure preparation.
• Greet and guide patients through the MRI process, putting them at ease and answering basic questions.
• Comply with HIPAA, confidentiality, and safety guidelines for a clinical environment.
• Perform basic clinical tasks under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe MRI control room; decontaminate coils, equipment, and exam rooms; assist with supply stocking.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Assist with clerical duties as needed.
