Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging in Arlington Heights is seeking an MRI Imaging Assistant to support the radiology team, assist with patient prep, equipment setup, and clinical tasks while delivering compassionate care. Responsibilities

  • Assist technologists with patient preparation and positioning.
  • Assist in coil positioning, MRI safety screening, patient observation, and procedure preparation.
  • Greet and guide patients through the MRI process, putting them at ease and answering basic questions.
  • Comply with HIPAA, confidentiality, and safety guidelines for a clinical environment.
  • Perform basic clinical tasks under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and safe MRI control room; decontaminate coils, equipment, and exam rooms; assist with supply stocking.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
  • Assist with clerical duties as needed.

Position Summary

MRI Imaging Assistant, Full-time

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Imaging Assistant to support our radiology team. The ideal candidate will assist with patient preparation, equipment setup, and general clinical support while maintaining a professional and compassionate patient experience.

Location: On-site Arlington Heights

Position: MRI Imaging Assistant

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist technologists with patient preparation and positioning
  • Assist in coil positioning, MRI safety screening, patient observation, and procedure preparation
  • Greet and guide patients through the MRI process, putting them at ease and answering basic questions

Requirements
  • Proficiency in IV access placement
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare or medical setting

Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Basic Life Support CPR- BLS Certification, preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) designation
