Job summary

DEPLOY is seeking an ML Search Engineer (Senior Full Stack) for an on-site role in Birmingham, Alabama. You will design and build frontend and backend systems powering product discovery and intelligent search at scale.

You’ll own the full lifecycle from prototyping to production, with emphasis on Python and React, search systems, and vector databases. Expect collaboration with ML and architecture teams and strong ownership of CI/CD and observability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend or full-stack development with Python/React.
• Cloud-native design and production-grade services on GCP/AWS.
• Experience with search systems or vector databases is a plus.
• Strong understanding of databases and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Python services end-to-end for retrieval, ranking, and APIs.
• Build ML inference pipelines and vector-based filtering for search quality.
• Develop real-time event-driven architecture using GCP services.
• Lead frontend architecture decisions and maintain reusable components.
• Contribute to search infrastructure and integration with vector stores.
