Job summary

Core Group Resources is hiring experienced Millwrights for a large-scale on-site power generation build for a major technology client. This hands-on role involves installing aeroderivative gas turbines, generators, and emissions control equipment, following OEM procedures and coordinating with OEM advisors and engineers.

You will align couplings, set and anchor rotating equipment, and support startup checks while maintaining safety and schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of millwright experience.
• Ability to read OEM installation manuals and foundation details.
• Strong teamwork with technicians and engineers in fast-paced projects.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and set gas turbines and generators.
• Align couplings using laser and dial indicators; correct soft foot.
• Set, level, grout, and anchor rotating equipment.
• Torque and track bolts throughout installation.
• Preserve turbomachinery awaiting startup.
• Support dry-crank and motoring checks with OEM.
• Install SCR stacks and related emissions equipment.
• Coordinate lifts with other crafts to keep schedule.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and API RP 686 practices.
• Work with engineers and OEM advisors.
