Wieland Group in East Alton, IL, is hiring a Caster for on-site metal production. The role involves melting, skimming, and pouring metal, adhering to safety standards and process controls. You will work as part of a team to meet daily production goals and perform routine equipment checks.

Starting pay is $37.00 per hour with afternoons and midnight shifts. Bi-weekly pay schedule, strong safety culture, and opportunities for growth are emphasized in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Metals manufacturing experience preferred and ability to read measurements accurately.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required for safety and basic literacy.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally and stand for long periods.
• Must wear protective gear and follow safety procedures at all times.
• Good teamwork and reliable attendance are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform mixing, melting, skimming, and pouring of metal per procedures.
• Maintain furnace temperatures and follow safety rules during casting.
• Read schedules and set up temps and settings for cast materials.
• Operate gantry crane and load materials as required.
• Keep work area clean and report maintenance or safety issues.
