Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in East Alton, IL is hiring an Operator A to run high-speed stamping presses, support equipment, and annealing/ cleaning lines. You will ensure product quality, perform changeovers, and lead maintenance when needed, with a focus on safety, data integrity in MES, and teamwork.

This role is on-site with a rotating swing shift and bi-weekly pay. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, metals manufacturing experience preferred, and a demonstrated

Qualifications

• Must adhere to health and safety regulations and wear protective gear.
• Ability to read packaging and shipping documents.
• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, and vernier caliper.
• Capable of maintaining accuracy under production deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery to maintain production rates and quality.
• Read production schedules and determine processing sequences.
• Monitor critical variables like temperature, pressure, and flow.
• Record production and quality data in the MES system.
• Ensure safe operation and report maintenance requests.
• Operate a forklift per training guidelines.
• Collaborate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Follow directions from department leaders and team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
