Phasic is building a state-of-the-art metal printing lab near BWI and seeks a hands-on technician to run the big-format metal laser powder bed fusion printer and machine parts after printing.

You will handle powder management, heat treatment, and post-processing, working with engineers and the Additive Manufacturing Manager to ensure every part meets specifications and traceability requirements. This role starts early 2027 and is on-site.

Formación

• 2+ years hands-on operation of metal laser powder bed fusion machines.
• Experience with wire EDM or CNC machining.
• Safe handling of metal powders and inert gas, PPE.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and measure with calipers/micrometers.
• Accurate record keeping of builds and materials.
• Able to lift 50 lb and work in full PPE.

Responsabilidades

• Set up builds: load powder, install/level build plates, inert gas, pre-build checks.
• Monitor builds and respond to alarms; some builds run for days.
• Unload builds, depowder parts, sieve and recycle powder.
• Perform routine maintenance: filters, recoater, optics and chamber cleaning.
• Post-process: heat treatment, cutting, and CNC machining of critical features.
• Keep lab safety, records and traceability up to date.
