Freeform in Hawthorne, CA is hiring an Additive Manufacturing Technician to handle post-processing of 3D printed parts and move them from finished print to shipping. The role covers powder handling, EDM operation, support removal, surface finishing, and inspection within a fast-paced R&D environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1+ years in metal additive manufacturing support or deburring, with a strong eye for detail and safety. On-site, five days per week, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in metal additive manufacturing process support or precision deburring of machined parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and monitor machinery such as wire EDMs, surface grinders, sand blasters, deburring tools, bandsaws and handle metal powders.
• Post process printed parts including depowering, precision cleaning, removing supports, and surface-finishing
• Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline post processing operations to enable mass production
• Help turnover builds, ensuring powders, tools, and equipment are available at all times
• Assist with visual inspection and shipment of final parts
