Qualifications

• Able to pass background check and drug screen; authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physicians.
• Enter notes in EMR during patient visits with physician.
• Facilitate provider-patient care ensuring accuracy and timely completion of medical records.
• Ensure medical record compliance by self-documentation of scribe name, title, and physician.
• Update patient history and other pertinent health information in the record.
• Prepare and send documentation to physician for review and approval.
• Monitor basic lab results and screening procedures.
• Schedule and receive patients; greet and escort to exam room.
• Handle insurance-related forms; liaison between patient and physician.
• Arrange hospital admissions/transfers and radiologic/lab services as needed.
• Enter pending CPOE orders under physician direction.
