Job summary

EMCOR Group’s Upland Mechanical, Inc. unit seeks a Project Engineer, Construction (Mechanical) in Columbus, OH. You’ll support the Project Manager and team to oversee commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires engineering education, field exposure, and strong MS Office/Excel skills; familiarity with industry software is a plus. On-site work travel to project locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with related experience.
• Internship or 1–3 years of mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC field experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction contracts.
• Knowledge of local market is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager and team to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Assist with contract execution and management.
• Prepare computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
• Perform QA/QC and document control for project equipment and materials.
• Maintain site communications and collaborate with superintendents.
• Generate and manage project documentation (RFI, submittals, plans, specs).
