Job summary

Upland Mechanical, Inc., a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, seeks a Project Engineer, Construction (Mechanical) for Lima, Ohio. The role supports the Project Manager and team to deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring safety and efficient operations on diverse commercial/government sites.

Responsibilities include contract execution, QA/QC, documentation, and site collaboration. A bachelor’s in engineering with field HVAC exposure and OSHA knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, construction management, business administration or related field.
• 1–3 years of mechanical, plumbing, and/or industrial HVAC field experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
• Familiarity with construction contract language and terms.
• Familiarity with local market desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the execution and management of project contracts.
• Prepare and present computer generated spreadsheets and reports.
• Perform QA/QC for project equipment, materials and related document control; adapt to new software for record keeping.
• Maintain regular communication with project superintendents by spending time on job sites.
• Generate, maintain and facilitate project documentation across all phases (RFI's, submittals, plans, specs, subcontract docs, purchase orders, material orders).
• Attention to detail, efficiency and integrity in work products.
• Flexibility with assigned work environment and locations; commute to various sites.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation required.
• Attend and conduct meetings as required.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and safety programs.
