Job summary

Nippon Dynawave Packaging is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor/Planner for an on-site role in Longview, WA. The position combines maintenance planning leadership with frontline supervision to optimize reliability and safety across operations.

The role emphasizes weekly scheduling, outage coordination, and the development of a skilled maintenance team. Strong experience with MS Project, SAP/CMMS, and drawing interpretation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Trades qualifications in mechanical trade or mechanical engineering degree.
• Experience with MS Project and CMMS systems (SAP, MAPCON, MAXIMO, etc.).
• Ability to read drawings, estimate time/materials, and coordinate trades.
• Strong planning, organizing, and communication skills.
• Paper/Pulp Mill industry experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan weekly work across operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors.
• Lead weekly scheduling and outage planning meetings to ensure work is clearly defined and resourced.
• Maintain a rolling three-week maintenance forecast for resource optimization.
• Manage maintenance backlogs to ensure timely resolution and reliability.
• Create detailed Gantt schedules using MS Project for shutdowns.
• Act as primary area scheduler for Total Mill Outages under Mill Coordinator guidance.
• Lead and develop a skilled maintenance workforce focused on safety and quality.
• Schedule and execute maintenance work to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Inspect work in progress and ensure high-quality results.
• Enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs to increase asset availability.
• Build team capability through coaching and performance development.
