Job summary

Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company in Longview, WA seeks a Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance Technician to install, repair and troubleshoot heavy industrial equipment. You will work in a self-directed team with emphasis on safety, quality and reliability, applying drawings and work plans on the plant floor.

Five years of hands-on experience, a journeyman rating in pipe fitting or related trade, and strong communication are required; predictive maintenance skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on mechanical experience in a continuous process industry or construction trade.
• Journeyman level in pipe fitting, welding, mechanical trade, or equivalent experience.
• Commitment to safety.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and apply work plans and equipment drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, inspect, adjust and troubleshoot mechanical equipment at journeyman level.
• Read work plans and equipment drawings and apply them on the task.
• Take measurements, enter requisitions, and install equipment or parts under supervisor direction.
• Work in a heavy industrial environment with emphasis on safety and teamwork.
