Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support existing power rack designs in Sunnyvale, CA. This 5-month, on-site contract focuses on maintaining and updating mechanical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation within an established hardware environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and strong experience with design updates, revision control, and Arena/PLM systems, enabling seamless integration into the team and its processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting mechanical designs for complex hardware.
• Strong ability to create and revise mechanical drawings.
• Experience maintaining BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Hands-on with engineering change control and revision management.
• Familiarity with Arena PLM/PDM preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in established hardware environments.

Responsibilities

• Support existing power rack designs across multiple hardware platforms.
• Make updates and revisions to existing mechanical designs.
• Create, revise, and maintain mechanical drawings and related engineering documentation.
• Maintain top-level assembly (TLA) BOMs.
• Process engineering changes and maintain revision control.
• Manage design and documentation updates within Arena/PDM.
• Ensure drawings, BOMs, and product documentation remain accurate.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to implement changes.
• Support documentation and knowledge transfer during transition periods.
