Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Bethlehem is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our Bethlehem, PA team. You will plan and perform diverse functions to assemble, disassemble, hydrotest, test performance, mount, align and pipe a range of assemblies and rotors.

The role requires reading technical drawings, using a variety of hand, machine, welding and pneumatic tools, and lifting up to 50 lbs. You will follow safety guidelines and contribute to a productive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly and piping/tubing of equipment.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, manuals and technical procedures.
• Proficiency with hand, machine, welding and pneumatic tools.
• Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Safety-first mindset and strong troubleshooting skills.
• US citizen able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, mount, align and pipe complex equipment and rotors using drawings and sketches.
• Perform hydrotesting, performance testing, balancing, troubleshoot issues and replace parts as needed.
• Operate hand tools, drill presses, boring mills, piping benders, arc welders and surface prep equipment.
• Move materials safely across the facility and perform torquing, sealing, gasket cutting and bedplate drilling/tapping.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain a clean workspace while following PPE and safety guidelines.
