Job summary

The Forsyth Technical Community College seeks an Instructional Support Tutor for Math 1 Support (Grant‑Funded) to be embedded at Mt. Tabor High School. You will provide on‑site academic support, tutoring, and engagement for Foundations of Algebra and Math 1, reinforcing learning and helping students complete assignments.

Responsibilities include collaboration with instructors, advising teams, and monitoring progress to support student success. Grant funding extends through 03/31/2027.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Degrees from a US Dept of Education‑accredited institution preferred for higher qualifications.
• Experience tutoring or supporting high school or college students.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on‑site academic support to Math 1 students.
• Reinforce concepts through one‑on‑one and small group tutoring.
• Assist with assignment completion, study strategies, and time management.
• Support instructors and foster student engagement and accountability.
• Serve as liaison between students, faculty, and advising teams.
• Maintain records of student interactions and progress.
