Job summary

This on-site role collaborates with Production, Warehouse, Receiving, Quality, and Packaging to stay ahead of material needs and address issues before they impact production.

The ideal candidate has experience in material planning and working with ERP/MRP/WMS systems, strong communication, and organized, detail-oriented approach to managing supplier

Qualifications

• Experience in material planning, purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, inventory management, or WMS preferred.
• Good communication with multiple suppliers and managing open orders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review production demand to determine material needs.
• Place orders with suppliers to maintain material availability.
• Review inventory, safety stock, usage, shortages, and obsolescence.
• Use planning data to identify upcoming purchasing needs.
• Maintain delivery schedules and reflect demand in planning system.
• Follow up on open orders, lead times, and late shipments.
• Coordinate with Receiving/Warehouse on incoming materials.
• Support FIFO and identify slow-moving or expiring materials.
• Communicate with Production and Quality teams regularly.
• Respond quickly to changing production requirements.
