Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking a Material Coordinator to support GM production in Arlington, TX. You will monitor inbound/outbound material flow, track inventory, and coordinate with GM schedulers and Universal dispatch teams to align supply chain activities.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in logistics or material coordination, knowledge of JIT delivery, and proficiency with ERP/MRP and MS Office. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in supply chain, logistics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in material coordination or logistics.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and JIT delivery.
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site liaison between Universal Logistics and GM production teams.
• Monitor inbound and outbound material flow to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track inventory levels, reconcile shortages/overages, address discrepancies.
• Coordinate with GM schedulers and Universal dispatch/planning teams.
• Facilitate communication regarding expedited shipments and disruptions.
• Maintain records and prepare daily/weekly material status reports.
