The role requires 2–4 years in material coordination or automotive supply chain, knowledge of JIT processes, and strong communication. Proficiency in ERP/MRP and MS Office is expected, in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in material coordination, logistics, or automotive supply chain.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and JIT delivery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site liaison between Universal Logistics and GM production teams.
• Monitor inbound and outbound material flow to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track inventory levels and address shortages/overages or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with GM production schedulers and Universal dispatch/planning teams.
• Facilitate communication regarding expedited shipments, quality holds, or supply chain disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare daily/weekly material status reports.
• Ensure compliance with GM and Universal Logistics policies, safety standards, and procedures.
• Participate in regular production and logistics meetings, providing updates and recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with GM contacts, Universal management, and third-party providers.
