Advantage Technical seeks a detail-oriented Material Control Planner in Columbia, MD to ensure materials, inventory, and production schedules stay on track. This 12-month temporary role operates 100% on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in planning/inventory, strong analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems and MS Office. Responsibilities include coordinating material flow, forecasting needs, and maintaining ERP records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, materials management, or inventory control preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, inventory planning, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material flow and production schedules across multiple departments.
• Forecast inventory and material requirements to support customer demand.
• Generate purchase and material requirements based on production needs.
• Monitor inventory levels, shortages, costs, and schedule performance.
• Expedite materials, documentation, and critical supply chain activities.
• Analyze production and inventory data to identify risks and improve performance.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and Program teams.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting through ERP systems, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
