Job summary

CyberLogitec is seeking an Infrastructure Systems Engineer in Long Beach, CA to maintain and improve enterprise IT environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.

The role focuses on server, virtualization, networking, security, and automation, delivering reliable services for internal operations and customer environments. 3+ years in IT and hands-on experience with Microsoft and virtualization are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, or related IT roles.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Microsoft technologies including AD and 365.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
• Networking proficiency including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall concepts.
• Ability to script with PowerShell or Python for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor enterprise infrastructure including servers, virtualization, storage, cloud services, security, and business applications.
• Perform system administration tasks: configuration, OS maintenance, software deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Online, and identity/security services.
• Apply patches and maintenance windows; coordinate after-hours changes as needed.
• Support virtualization environments (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV).
• Monitor availability, performance, and security using enterprise tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and infrastructure issues with root-cause analysis.
• Maintain backup operations and assist with disaster recovery planning/testing.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and infrastructure diagrams.
• Collaborate with help desk, security teams, and customers to resolve incidents.
