The role requires applying engineering principles to reduce waste and optimize production performance across the product line. The successful candidate will have a BS in a technical field and 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, plus familiarity with Six Sigma concept implementation.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.
• Three to five years of manufacturing experience.
• Familiar with Six Sigma concepts (Green Belt preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment to improve Safety, Quality, Yield, Productivity/Throughput, and Cost.
• Identify delays and sources of waste; apply engineering principles to refine processes.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and ensure procedures are followed to keep production equipment operational.
• Analyze data to meet objectives and provide reports to management with insights for future needs.
• Identify technology solutions to eliminate unnecessary steps and improve manufacturing metrics.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and support PFMEA / 8D investigations.
• Provide engineering direction to optimize yield and train staff on new methods.
• Develop and maintain SWIs and ensure proper measurement systems and dashboards.
