Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Morristown, TN is seeking an HR Generalist to support our on-site manufacturing facility. The role leads recruitment, HR administration, and plant communications while assisting the site’s EHS administrative functions.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in HR, experience recruiting for production roles, and strong organizational skills. This is an in-office, full-time position with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a similar HR role, preferably manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience recruiting skilled employees and managing multiple openings at once.
• Working knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, and employment practices.
• Strong organization, recordkeeping, written communication, and follow-through.
• Ability to handle confidential information with sound judgment and build trust with employees and plant leaders.
• Comfort working in HRIS and standard office software.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment process for Morristown positions, especially production and skilled manufacturing roles.
• Coordinate offers, pre-employment requirements, onboarding, and orientation.
• Maintain staffing records and report hiring progress and turnover monthly.
• Maintain personnel records and complete HR transactions in HRIS.
• Serve as first point of contact for HR policies, benefits processes, attendance, and routine questions.
• Support employee relations and coordinate with site leadership and Regional HR Director.
• Coordinate leave and accommodation requests per procedures and authority levels.
• Prepare and distribute communications about staffing changes, programs, training, and updates.
• Maintain communication channels across plant departments and shifts.
• Help supervisors communicate workplace expectations and policy updates.
