Job summary
ACECO, American Crane & Equipment Corporation, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer — Fabrication in Douglassville, PA. You will develop and optimize fabrication and assembly processes for custom cranes, working with welders, fitters, and engineers to improve efficiency, safety, and on‑time delivery.
The role requires hands-on shop floor involvement and strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, and rigging.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or closely related field preferred.
- Experience with steel fabrication and welding processes is essential.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings for manufacturability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for steel fabrication, welding and large equipment assembly.
- Review rigging and handling methods for large weldments and assemblies.
- Lead lean initiatives tailored to engineer‑to‑order environments.
- Provide design-for-manufacturability input during design reviews and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Support ERP transition and collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Purchasing.
