Job summary
American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) in Douglassville, PA is hiring Electrical Engineers with strong industrial controls and automation experience to design, program, commission, and support crane and hoist systems.
This hands-on role covers the full lifecycle from electrical design to field performance, with on-site work only. Mentors may guide less experienced engineers, while experienced engineers can own complex scopes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Experience in industrial controls and automation.
- Proficiency with IEC 61131-3 programming and related tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems for cranes and hoists.
- Program industrial automation applications.
- Develop sequencing, interlocks, alarms, diagnostics, and fault-handling logic.
- Document controls logic, software revisions, operating sequences, and system behavior.
- Support manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
