Job summary

American Crane & Equipment Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong fabrication expertise to optimize and support our custom crane and material handling fabrication processes. You will work closely with welders, fitters, and assemblers, bridging engineering intent with shop floor realities to improve efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

This on-site role emphasizes reading blueprints, improving steel fabrication, welding, rigging, and shipping processes in a low-to-mid

Qualifications

Meaningful experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on steel fabrication and welding processes.
Hands-on fabrication experience with large weldments and assemblies.
Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings and translate design intent to production.
Experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes in a custom/engineer-to-order environment.
Familiarity with rigging, handling, and shipping considerations for heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve manufacturing processes for steel fabrication, welding, and large equipment assembly.
Optimize routing, work cell layout, and material flow to improve throughput and reduce waste.
Lead lean initiatives tailored to engineer-to-order environments and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Safety to implement changes.
