Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2/3 for the Rocket Center, WV location just outside Cumberland, MD. The role focuses on developing and overseeing manufacturing processes, creating detailed work instructions, and supporting productivity improvements on-site with no remote work.

The candidate will engage with design engineering and manufacturing teams, handle processing data, and ensure quality, safety, and cost objectives while meeting schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field with required years of experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Eligible for U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee manufacturing processes per design requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions for products/processes.
• Identify productivity improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Support proposals, development activities, and day-to-day manufacturing support.
• Collaborate with design engineering on manufacturability.
