Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking Manufacturing Engineer- Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in the Baltimore MD Area. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this role, you will create, lead, and approve production plans, lead engineering reviews and document processes, and design manufacturing layouts for assemblies and equipment to optimize throughput and quality in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field required for Level 2; 2+ years experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or related area or Master's with experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years experience for Level 3; or Master's with 3+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Create, lead, and approve production plans.
• Lead engineering reviews and document processes.
• Lead non-conformance review and root cause determination.
• Design manufacturing processes and layouts for assemblies and equipment.
• Specify procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment.
• Adapt designs to production conditions.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans and ensure quality.
• Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and equipment usage.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Interface with technicians in a fast-paced environment.
