Job summary

Tailwind Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support The Quarters Starkville, a student housing community near Mississippi State University. The role centers on reliable repairs, preventative maintenance, and delivering outstanding resident service.

You will perform general repairs across units and common areas, supervise turnover activities, and collaborate with vendors to maintain high property standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service in interactions with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members.
• Ability to conduct daily property walks and identify improvement areas in the grounds and interiors.
• Experience with general repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, and drywall work.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent customer service with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members; prioritizing others and fighting for their highest possible good.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal by daily property walks with the maintenance team to identify improvement areas and keep grounds clean.
• Perform general repairs in apartment units, common areas, and on building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, drywall).
• Support turnover and make-ready processes including furniture removal and installation; lead temporary staff as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality workmanship and service; respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in on-call schedule.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with preventative maintenance program and attend regular team meetings.
