Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Standby Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team at Dupont Lakes Apartments in Fort Wayne, IN. The role requires living in a company-provided apartment and responding to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis, ensuring residents have a safe, comfortable living environment.

Responsibilities include general maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• EPA certification is required (or to be obtained within 120 days of start)
• HVAC experience is strongly preferred
• CPO Certification and pool maintenance skills are preferred
• Ability to shovel snow and apply salt during winter
• Basic computer skills and comfort with software/apps

Responsibilities

• Maintain the apartment community and respond to day-to-day operations
• Prioritize and resolve work orders per quality standards
• Perform plumbing tasks including pipe fitting, sink and faucet work, garbage disposal installs
• Troubleshoot HVAC, furnace, water heater, boiler issues and appliance repairs
• Deliver carpentry work: doors, trim, drywall, caulking, tile jobs
• Perform electrical repairs: switches and outlets
• Monitor inventory of commonly used parts
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis
